4th of July weekend

So the 4th of July weekend ended up being really fun! Devon and I were able to camping again and this time Devon's old roommate Shane and his wife and daughter were able to go with us. Devon and I went up Friday night as soon as we got off work and then Shane and his family came on Saturday. It really was a fun wonderful weekend and I really enjoyed not thinking about anything. On the 4th we did go up to Jackson to see the Snow King firework show. That was really fun to watch. I love fireworks! The only bummer was that we ended up right in the front and were really close to them. We had a lot of dust and cardboard pieces falling on us. So the entire time I was trying to watch them half eye opened. We also did take Chelby with us. It was so sad she was so scared of them poor thing, but we did get a lot of complements on her. We even had one kid who had to go get his dad to show him and then started begging him for one.

I also have a family reunion this weekend and I'm excited for it. This year we are doing a family auction and this year I am making a poopy duck. (Thank you Whitney for the pattern!) Usually we make something and then the family bids on it to help off-set the costs of the family reunion the next year. This is the first year we are doing this so I am hoping that my idea will be a good one :).
