Memorial Weekend

So I thought I was going to be sick all of memorial weekend which sucked because one of my really good friends was getting married. Devon and I decided last minute on Saturday to go to Pocatello for my friends wedding reception and then go camping after that. Needless to say the camping was quite the experience. We decided that Scout Mountain would be the place to go. We got there about 9:00 P.m. and started looking for a spot, finally at 10 we found one. For our anniversary this year we decided to buy a new tent and it's not just a small tent its a 7 man tent. It took us an hour to put it up in the dark. It was so so cold. By the time it was up I was ready to go to bed. But Devon wanted to start a fire and cook s'mores so we did. Finally at 12:30 we got into bed. Oh it was such a long night... It was so cold, I couldn't get me feet warm and when I did Devon woke up cold because I had taken all the blankets. So fighting over blankets and trying to get warm made for a long night. I did finally fall asleep when the sun came out and warmed up the tent. We then got up cook breakfast and relaxed for a bit.

We then went to my sisters house and played with the kids for a bit before getting back onto the road to come home. Despite some of our set backs and freezing all night, it really was fun. I'm excited for this summer to do more camping, fishing and hiking. I even have my own camel backpack now!

Jenna, that does sound like quite the camping experience! Maybe we can all go camping together when we get to SV! I can't wait to get back to the mountains and do some real camping! Hope you are doing good!
